Staffing (/pms/staffing, in the clinical workspace) brings your
practice's hiring into one page. Owners and managers see it in the clinical
sidebar; nobody else in the practice does, and neither does an agency that
looks after your practice.

Bank and Cover serve practices in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Each nation has its own background check, and a temp is offered a shift only once the check for its site's nation is verified: a DBS check in England and Wales, PVG in Scotland, AccessNI in Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland follows its own employment rules, so practices and temps there have their own terms.
Temps are employed and paid by Smileline Staffing Ltd, an employment business, which invoices your practice each week. Bank and Cover appear once temp cover is open where your practice is.

Working as a temp
For dental nurses and hygienists: join, send your checks and take shifts.
While your account is paused or closing
Jobs, Bank and posting new shifts stop while your practice's account is
paused, stopped or closing. What you have already booked carries on: open
Staffing → Cover from a notification, or at /pms/staffing?view=cover,
to see your booked shifts, cancel one, answer their hours and pay your
invoices. Your open shifts aren't offered to temps, and no temp can accept
one, until your account is back.
Inventory
Keep count of the equipment and consumables in each store room, see what is running low, and know who took or restocked every item, on the web and on a store-room iPad.
