Manage Google Business Profile

Open SEO → Google Business Profile, then choose a practice location.

Every other tab on this page needs a Google location mapped to the practice location. Until one exists, the page opens on Connection.

Connect Google Business Profile

Open Connection. An owner or manager can connect more than one Google login, discover its Business Profile accounts, and map Google locations to SmileLine practice locations. The page refreshes itself during the initial connection or sync window, so completed account and location discovery appears without a manual reload.

Set Map location for each Google location, then switch Enabled on. A location can only be enabled once it is verified, mapped, and Google has supplied a review link. Enabled locations are what SmileLine posts to, audits, and sends patients to for a review.

Google requires the connected account's express authorisation before SmileLine can publish review replies. Switch Allow reply publishing on and confirm. Every reply still needs a team member to approve it. If push notifications cannot be configured without replacing another system's notification topic, SmileLine leaves that configuration untouched and uses scheduled reconciliation instead.

Disconnect removes the practice's stored Google credential and reply permission, then finishes notification cleanup in the background. Reconnecting may remain unavailable briefly while that cleanup completes. Google treats OAuth revocation as global to the Google user and Cloud project, so SmileLine does not revoke the Google-side grant for a single practice. Remove SmileLine from the Google account's connected apps only when you intend to affect every practice using that Google account.

Audit the profile

Open Profile and click Run audit. The completed audit retains its status and prepares safe changes as local intent. SmileLine does not retain the Google profile values, a completeness snapshot or discovery metrics.

Select an item under Recommended next actions, then click Load live review. SmileLine fetches Google at that moment and shows the exact Before and After values without retaining the response. If the live state no longer permits the fix, run the profile audit again.

Click Approve only after loading and checking the live review, or click Dismiss. Only a permitted approver can authorise a change. Applying an approved fix fetches Google again and merges the local intent in memory. If the state has drifted, SmileLine reopens the action instead of applying an unsafe change.

Prepare and publish an update

Open Posts.

1. Enter the post text and, if needed, an HTTPS link.
2. To publish later, choose Optional local publish time. The time uses the selected location's timezone and must be within the next 12 months.
3. Select a photo from Photos if the update should include one.
4. Click Save draft.
5. Review the retained draft, then click Publish, or leave a scheduled post for the publishing queue.

Publishing is a separate, explicit action. Failed provider work remains visible with its retained status rather than being presented as published.

Create an AI-assisted draft

Open Posts, add optional direction under Optional AI drafting direction, then click Draft with AI. SmileLine uses the confirmed practice name, mapped location and active treatment catalogue as factual context. It does not use patient records.

The generated copy is retained as a draft and opens in the editor. Check every statement, make any changes, then click Update draft. AI-assisted copy can never publish automatically; click Publish only after you are satisfied with the final wording.

Control safe catalogue autopilot

Under Safe catalog autopilot, choose whether SmileLine may schedule its fixed cautious template when a confirmed treatment-catalogue item first appears. This setting is off by default.

The eligible template states only that the treatment is listed, contains no price or outcome claim, and directs readers to the practice for general information and an individual professional assessment. User-written and AI-assisted posts are never eligible for this catalogue autopilot.

Leave the setting off to receive each catalogue update under Recommended next actions. Approve one to move it into editable drafts, or dismiss it.

Manage a recurring series

Enter the exact post text that may be published at each occurrence, then choose the post type, one-to-four-week cadence, weekday, local time and enabled state. Review the text before clicking Create series; it is publishable copy, not an AI drafting instruction.

Each due occurrence creates a separate scheduled post using that exact text. Use Edit to change the text or cadence, Pause to stop future occurrences without deleting the series, or Delete to remove it. The next run remains visible on every series card.

Upload a photo

Open Photos and click Upload photo. Choose a JPEG or PNG between 10 KB and 5 MB, with both dimensions at least 250 pixels. SmileLine verifies the image before making it available to a post.

Select an uploaded photo to attach it to the next draft. The selected card is marked selected.
