Social ideas

Collect post ideas with photos and videos on a shared board, sort them into groups, generate new ones with AI, and turn them into posts.

The ideas board is where the practice keeps its post ideas until someone is ready to write them up. Open Social in the main sidebar, then Ideas. When an idea is ready, turn it into a post.

How the board is laid out

Each column is a group of ideas. Unassigned always comes first and holds every idea that isn't in a group; your own groups follow in the order you set. Scroll sideways to see more columns.

Each column lists its most recently changed ideas first, so editing or moving an idea brings it to the top. A column shows 50 ideas at a time; use Load more at the bottom for the rest.

Changes your teammates make appear on your board without reloading the page.

Add and edit ideas

Click New idea.

Give the idea a title, write it up, and add any photos or videos.

Click Save.

New idea at the bottom of a column adds the idea to that group; New idea at the top of the board adds it to Unassigned. To put an idea in another group later, move it on the board — see Move ideas between groups.

A card shows the idea's title, or the start of its text when it has no title. Click a card to edit the idea, or to remove it with Delete. A title can be up to 200 characters and the text up to 10,000.

An idea can hold up to 35 photos and videos. They upload the same way as a post's: photos are converted to JPEG in your browser, and videos upload as they are — see Add photos and videos. A file you remove from an idea is deleted within the hour, unless a post uses it too.

If a teammate changed the same idea before you saved, your change isn't applied: the board reloads with their version, so check it and try again.

Turn an idea into a post

Open the idea and click Create post. The composer opens with the idea's text and files; choose the accounts and publish, schedule or save it as usual — see Publish social posts.

Once a post has been made from it, the idea shows that it has been turned into a post; deleting every post made from it clears that again. Deleting the idea leaves its posts as they are.

Move ideas between groups

Drag a card to another column, or use Move to… on the card and pick the column. Move to… also works from the keyboard.

Organise groups

Click New group at the end of the board and name it (up to 50 characters). A new group is added on the right.

Each group's column menu offers:

Rename;
Move left and Move right to reorder the board;
Delete, which removes the group and moves its ideas to Unassigned — no idea is deleted with it.

Unassigned can't be renamed, moved or deleted.

Generate ideas with AI

With the AI assistant add-on, click Generate ideas for suggestions written for your practice.

Optionally type a topic, such as a seasonal theme or a treatment you want to promote, and choose the group the ideas should go into.

Click Generate.

Review the suggestions — they all start ticked — untick any you don't want, then click Add selected.

Suggestions aren't saved until you add them; close the dialog and the rest are discarded. Added suggestions become ordinary ideas that you can edit, move or delete.

Suggestions draw on your practice name, the towns your locations are in, your treatments and the current month. Your topic steers them but is never treated as a fact. They are written to avoid clinical claims, prices, offers and testimonials, but review every idea before it becomes a post.

Who can use the board

Owners, managers and front desk can create, edit, move and delete ideas and groups, generate ideas with AI, and turn ideas into posts. Analysts can view the board but can't change it. See Who can do what.
