Track search visibility
Manage keywords, inspect the local position grid, run research and connect Google Search Console.
Open SEO → Search visibility. If your practice has more than one location, choose the location at the top of the page before changing tracking.
Review organic positions
Use Rankings to compare each phrase's latest position, change, 30-sample trend, search volume and intent. The AI Overview column shows whether the latest retained result included an AI Overview, or Not sampled when no result exists yet. The headline metrics show the number of tracked phrases, average observed position, latest top-three grid share and synced Search Console clicks.
Connect Search Console
In Rankings, find Google Search Console.
- Click Connect Search Console and complete Google's independent authorisation flow.
- Choose one of the verified properties returned for the connected account.
- Return to Search visibility to review synced totals and the weekly query table, including clicks, impressions and average position.
Pending verification means the Google authorisation flow has not completed. Click Finish setup to continue it. An expired, revoked or failed connection retains its status and safe error detail; click Reconnect Search Console to authorise it again.
Use Disconnect to stop the connection and fence queued synchronisation. This connection is independent from the Google Business Profile connection used by Reputation and profile tools.
Manage tracked keywords
Open Keywords. You can:
- enter a local search phrase and click Add keyword;
- click Edit to change a phrase or its local, commercial or informational intent;
- switch Track on or off for organic monitoring;
- switch Grid on for phrases that should receive local map scans;
- click Archive to remove a phrase from the active universe and stop both tracking modes; or
- click Refresh suggestions to retain useful CRM-derived phrases without overwriting your tracking choices.
SmileLine creates the initial treatment × location suggestions when the SEO add-on is enabled and reconciles them as active treatments or locations change. Archived generated phrases stay archived, and manual phrases are never removed. Use Refresh suggestions when you want to run that reconciliation immediately.
Turning organic tracking off also turns grid tracking off. Grid tracking stays unavailable until you choose an address suggestion and confirm the location's coordinates under Locations & operatories.
Click Load more keywords when the current keyword page has more results.
Track local competitors
Open Competitors to review the practices detected in local map results for the selected location. Compare their rating, review count and latest weekly review change. Turn Tracking off to stop retaining new weekly snapshots for a competitor; turn it on to resume.
Inspect the local map grid
Open Map grid, then choose a grid-tracked phrase under Grid keyword. The page opens that phrase's latest retained scan. North is at the top and west is on the left. Each cell displays the retained local position; select a cell to inspect its top results.
Click Scan grid to queue a fresh scan for the selected phrase. The scan uses the confirmed location centre and the workspace grid settings.
Research an opportunity
Open Research, enter a seed phrase or competitor, then click Research. Live research uses the provider budget and appears under Recent research when queued, completed or failed. Each completed run previews its first ten suggestions. Use its Show all suggestions control to inspect every retained result. Click Load more research when older runs are available.
